My first encounter with Reiki was 15 years ago. I attended a mediation workshop and met an amazing woman, who later became my Reiki Master and my best friend.
Reiki is a spiritual path for me. It allows me to release the pressure of having to run life all by myself and gives me a way of turning things over to the source/universal power/the divine. (Choose the word that speaks to you).
Having this spiritual “protection bubble” around me has changed my life completely.
Things still happen and life keeps throwing challenges at me. When it happens, I have a simple, loving way to connect to whatever is happening with compassion and to see it as an opportunity. I have a simple and loving way to ask for spiritual support.
Reiki is the most natural thing in the world. It is God’s gift to humanity and anyone can use it. As a healer, I don’t have any power that you don’t. In fact, it is not me or the Reiki that does the healing. It is the body that heals itself. With Reiki, we may be able to stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities and allow the healing to happen. Throughout my life, I have used Reiki many times to help heal physical, emotional, mental and spiritual conditions with myself and others. I have seen its power over and over again and experienced its miracles.
A few years ago I received a phone call from a woman in Atlanta who asked me to come and give Reiki to her son, who was in the hospital in coma with a brain tumor. I gave Reiki to Bryan every day for 3 weeks. The doctors said that even if he opens his eyes, his brain will never recover. Delivering the Reiki, I did not direct the energy and did not make any decision about its outcome. It was interesting to watch Bryan and his family becoming more and more peaceful and able to let go so when he passed after 3 weeks it was the most peaceful, accepting, beautiful transition both for him and his family.
My job was simply to connect to the Reiki, to allow this healing power to come through me and allow it to do what’s best for Bryan and his family.
My goal is to provide others with this beautiful gift, so it touches their lives and bring them blessing just like it does for me.
Anyone can and should learn Reiki. Why? Because it’s easy, affordable and will surely change your life just like it did for me.
